As of July 1, 2025, the HISD IT Service Desk is no longer available for phone or email support.
For the 2025–2026 school year, technology users now have access to a variety of self-service tools, automated support, and AI-driven solutions.
To support this transition, HISD is introducing AskIT, our new virtual IT agent. Whether you're dealing with hardware issues or have questions about applications, AskIT will guide you through a series of prompts to deliver a customized solution—anytime, anywhere.
You can also explore the HISD Solution Center, which includes quick reference guides, training materials, FAQs, and how-to videos to help you troubleshoot and learn independently.
For password management:

Staff can reset their passwords using the HISD Access tool.

Students can have their passwords reset by FastPass Agents.

Get to Know Us
Ms. Karina Hernandez graduated from Northbrook High School in 2007, and attended Lee College in Baytown Texas. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Ms. Hernandez is currently is spearheading all technology projects at Sharpstown HS, including device deployment, repairs, inventory and so much more!

Mr. Quint Charvis is a graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors in Information Technology, a minor in Digital Media, and a Masters in Publishing.
His love and passion for technology started in my childhood when his uncle bought him a Nintendo 64, and he was able to connect it by himself at the age of 4. After that, his IT journey began. Other hobbies and interests of his are teaching Bible Study, spending time with his family, playing basketball, playing video games, and eating amazing food.
He is excited to begin his journey as a Teacher Apprentice, and will be supporting IT efforts with his vast knowledge in device management.

Ms. Aileen Castro is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management at Lamar University and is set to graduate this fall. She brings over 10 years of experience to the district as an Office Manager. Her favorite things include the color pink, coffee, Stanley cups, her family, and movies—in no particular order.
Ms. Castro serves as the campus webmaster and supports IT efforts by managing school communications via ParentSquare, the marquee, social media and school TV display systems.

Mr. Carlos Quintero is a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) and a proud Rice University alumnus—Go Owls! He is an experienced AP Spanish teacher and enjoys watching movies and grading AP exams for the College Board in his free time.
Mr. Quintero currently supports IT operations by managing room reservations through Facilitron and assisting with student password resets in Footprints.
